According to fresh reports just reaching Realnaijagists, the two rival political parties in Nigeria-The Peoples' Democratic Party(PDP and the APC his decided to shelve their did references and unite as one political party.
The decision which was announced by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,Goodluck Jonathan,was made after long talks and deliberation after which the two parties reached a consensus and signed the MOU.
According to the President, the .mergers shows that the leaders of the country are ready to do anything to make our country move forward.

IMPLICATION OF MERGER

Now I know by now,most Nigerians would wonder what is going on?
Where exactly is our country heading?
Is Nigeria gradually driving towards a one party state?

ONE PARTY STATE
It is however surprising how such impossible merger could be made. Where were The likes of Tinubu and Fashola? Where they not at the meeting? How about Governor Aregbeshola? I guess he must have been absent.
I used to think the two parties had seperare views on lots of issues,I fact we all know how these two parties have always openly critisized each other. What voodoo did Baba use to cement the relationship between the two parties?
Well,don't go too far,the answer is quite close. The 2015 general elections. The two parties are obviously up to something. They are trying to create a political party that will be strong enough to pull down any stronghold. Well,good for them as an organisation but how about us the masses?. This will also mean that the PCP or whatever the name will be called will become a demi-god in the world of politics,or which political party will ever be able to defeat the unified PDP/APC party? With this kind of merger,it only means that their party will become the only actor in the political field as all other political party becomes Inconsequential.
It is really amazing how politicians in Nigeria just take decisions based on their own gains only without thinking of those who put them there, all they think about is how to execute plans that would enrich their pockets and make the masses remain same depriving them of their dividends of democracy. Welcome to the month of April and don't be April fooled like you just have been.

A delegate at the ongoing National Conference in Nigeria, retired police AIG Hamma Misau has died at the National Hospital in Abuja. Mallam Misau died last night of an undisclosed illness at the age of 67.
Mallam Misau became famous after a photo of him taking a nap at the conference was shared on social media three days ago.
Barrister Mohammed Hamma a cousin to the retired police officer confirmed his demise to REALNAIJAGISTS. He said a Muslim funeral is due shortly in Bauchi for the late delegate. Mallam Hamma Misau hails from Misau in Bauchi state.

Boko Haram Derides Nigerian Police In Video, Says Churches, Christians And Nigerian State Remain Targets

The Jamaʻat Ahl as-Sunnah lid-daʻwa wal-Jihād, widely known as Boko Haram, has derided the Nigerian Police ‘women’ in a video detailing how the sect attacked Giwa Barracks, Maiduguri on March 14, 2014.
The 24-minute video appears to confirm the sect's sophistication as well as its access to modern weaponry.
The video shows the sect exhibiting their warfare techniques, shooting targets from specialized armed vans, as well as holding and firing grenades from the ground. It also shows the sect's commanders coordinating operations by giving orders.
The footage contains details of how the sect launched attacks from several directions in and around the military barracks. It also shows hundreds of people the sect claimed to have freed from detention by the Nigerian military.
Warning Nigerian police officers to stay off their path, the sect sang, “Police give us way, you are too weak and small to stop us. You are all women and we understand you.”
The sect sang that their demand for Sharia cannot be compromised. They restated that their targets remained churches, Christians and the Nigerian state. Part of the song stated, "We are working for Allah and must bring Shariah to existence; we are committed to protecting Muslims from being annihilated by infidels. We are going to kill them. We will enter Churches and slaughter Christians and barracks. We are calling on all Muslims to come out and fight Jihad. If you joke, these infidels will annihilate Muslims. You see how they are killing our women and children.”
The group boasted that it had demonstrated its prowess in Borno, Bauchi and Abuja, and the infidels of Plateau, Kaduna, Adamawa and Gombe.
They vowed to fight for Shariah will all their might until success was achieved.
The Nigerian military was yet to react officially to the clip since it was posted yesterday.

Ondo Police Arrest OSRC Media Workers Over Protest

Five vibrant media workers of the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation(OSRC) who are also members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State chapter were this evening arrested and whisked way to the A division Command of the State Police Force in Akure.
Sources who spoke to Realnaijagists at the premises of the Station today said the workers, part of whom are union leaders in organization, were manhandled by security agents under the instruction of the Director General (DG) of the organization, Mr. Ladi Akeredolu-Ale before they were whisked away by police.
An in-house source told Realnaijagists, investigation that the Station's immediate past chapel chairman of the NUJ, Mr. Taiwo Ibitoye, Mr. Akinwumi Abodunde, Mr. Olanrewaju Bankole (Lanre-Cole), Mr. Sam Adeloye, Mr. Sola Obagbemisoye and Mr. Obafemi Sogbe were whiskey away like criminals in a police van this evening.
Workers of the organisation had on Wednesday chased the Director General of the corporation, Ladi Akeredolu-Ale from office over what they call his 'insensitivity' to workers plight.
The aggrieved workers disclosed that the DG who was brought to head the station from Channels Television, Lagos had no respect for their welfare, despite their yearly Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) amounting to Eighty Billion Naira (N80,000.000.00).
accoding to reports, yesterday that stern looking security agents with no fewer than fifty (50) police officers with two Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) and about five police patrol vans were stationed at the entrance of the Station's main gate, apparently to forestall any possible of breakdown of law and order by the aggrieved workers.
According to our source,, the appearance of Security agents at the vicinity of the station was a result of 'cooked lies' by the DG that the workers threatened to burn down the station if the government failed to look into their demands. An allegation, the workers denied totally.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police,Mr Edward Ajogun was quoted on Wednesday that he was acting under the instructions given to him which he 'must' carry out.
But the workers said, they are not fighting for their personal greed but were only showing displeasure towards the collapsed structure, equipment, transmitter and the poor office accommodations in the Station with a call on the state governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko to intervene before the situation gets out of hand.
They alleged that various challenges and problems confronting them in the station were tabled before the Director General, Mr. Akeredolu Ale but he always thwarts them whenever there is opportunity for him to meet the governor.
"Let us state it categorically that the state governor was unaware of the problems facing the station, and various attempts to call his attention to all these problems were thwarted by the management led by the Director General, Akeredolu-Ale".
Spokesman for the media workers, Mr. Taiwo Ibitoye had told REALNAIJAGISTS that the Fm station (96.5fm) is already dying while the Television station was standing on one leg due to lack of maintenance, saying that the state government had been supplying diesel to the corporation since 2009 without collecting anything from its IGR, lamenting that no explanation has been given on how the IGR is being spent.
"Honestly, we don’t know what is happening to the revenue of the station when workers welfare are not prioritized, training and re-training are put on hold since 2010, and newsroom ranks as the worst among its peer".
However,we put a call to the Spokesman of Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Wole Ogodo who felt reluctant to speak on the issue.

- PANDEMONIUM broke out in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital yesterday, when a police corporal, Sunkanmi Ogunbiyi, went berserk, shot dead his wife, a landlady, two year-old girl and three others before killing himself. After killing his estranged wife who was also a policewoman, Corporal Oluwatosin Faremi, attached to the Obantoko Police Division, the rampaging police corporal reportedly shot dead a commercial motorcycle rider, and five members of a family, before shooting himself dead immediately. The tragic incident which occurred at Akingbala area of Eleweran, Abeokuta, at 7:02 am reportedly forced some policemen to abscond from their duty posts. Also, residents of the area fled the place to avoid being caught in the mayhem. It was gathered that in the process, three other persons sustained gunshot injuries and were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba for treatment. Vanguard gathered that the killer policeman had in the past issued several warnings to the landlady, popularly called Iya Basira, to desist from harbouring his wife and children in her house whenever they had any misunderstanding and she moved out of his house. But the landlady who lived at 67, Ifelodun Street, Akingbala area, was said to have turned deaf ears to the warnings, preferring to shelter the policeman's wife and two children. An eye witness who pleaded anonymity told Vanguard that the furious policeman stormed the landlady's place at about 7:02 am and immediately shot his wife, the commercial motorcycle rider simply identified as Kunle and other four members of the family including a two-year-old girl, who was sleeping, to death. Ogunbiyi, according to findings, who had laid ambush for his victims in a nearby bush was said to have emerged from nowhere with his rifle, killing the commercial motorcycle rider who was about to pick the wife, already dressed for work, and their two children who were said to be in their school uniforms, in front of the house. CP visits scene; orders forensic investigation He then reportedly proceeded to the landlady's six-room uncompleted building where he also killed the woman who was said to be sleeping. Vanguard gathered that Ogunbiyi also shot dead a daughter of the landlady, Basira, and her two-year-old daughter, Jesutofunmi as well as the landlady's two sons, Taofeek, a Senior Secondary School II student of Nawar-u-Deen Grammar School, Obantoko and his elder brother, Sikiru. The state Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, was said to have visited the scene of the shooting incident to assess the situation. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement said that Ogunbiyi and his wife had been having domestic conflicts before the shooting incident . Adejobi, however, said the command had already commenced a thorough forensic investigation into the deaths, adding that the command would also ensure justice is done in the matter. He said, "the Ogun State Police Command has deemed it necessary to react to the killing of six persons by a police Corporal, Sunkanmi Ogunbiyi, attached to the Ogun State Police Command. "The unfortunate incident occurred this morning, Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 0758hrs when the said corporal, who had been having domestic conflicts with his wife, shot and killed six persons, with his rifle, including his wife, Woman Corporal Oluwatosin Faremi, the landlady, a two-year-old baby girl and two males and one female, while another three persons sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi Aba, Abeokuta. The said corporal, having killed these persons, shot himself dead immediately. "The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, CP Ikemefuna Okoye, has described the incident as unfortunate, and has visited the scene with other senior police officers in the command to assess the situation and sympathize with relations of the deceased and members of the Akingbala Ifelodun Estate, Eleweran Area, Abeokuta, where the incident took place. "The command has, therefore, commenced thorough forensic investigation into the killing and promised to make sure justice is done in the matter. The Commissioner of Police, however, appeals to the general public to perceive the incident as one of the unfortunate social mishaps and not to judge the Police with the incident, as the Police is committed to protection of lives and property and will not tolerate any act capable of trampling on fundamental human rights of the citizens of Ogun State."

Five policemen, 32 others killed in Borno, Benue attacks

Ten persons were killed in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital on Tuesday, when two suicide bombers rammed their cars into a police patrol vehicle.

Also, 27 people were reportedly killed on Tuesday in Benue State after a brutal attack which took place in Agena Village in Gwer-East Local Government Area of the state. The attack was attributed to a suspected herdsmen’s militia group which had been linked to a series of attacks in the state over the past two years.

Those killed in the Maiduguri incident that happened at about 9am included five policemen, three civilians and the two suicide bombers that drove two Volkswagen Golf cars that rammed simultaneously into the police patrol Toyota Hilux van.

It was also learnt that many persons were left with severe injuries in the incident that shook the entire town and heightened security checks in the town.

It was gathered that after the incident which happened at the outskirts of Maiduguri near Dalori Housing Estate, soldiers of the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army with a combined team of mobile policemen and youth vigilante group popularly called Civilian JTF swung into action combing the area for some of the attackers believed to still be at large.

The scene of the blasts was cordoned off in order to prevent further attacks as vehicles moving to and from the area were thoroughly searched.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Gideon Jubrin, who confirmed the incident to journalists on phone, revealed that the five policemen that lost their lives in the attack were attached to the Federal Highway Patrol team.

He also revealed that three innocent civilians including the two suicide bombers died on the spot.

A member of the Civilian JTF, Ibrahim Haruna, who spoke to journalists, revealed that he saw the mangled bodies of the police officers immediately after the explosion.

He said, “The incident happened around 9am when we heard a loud bang and we mobilised to the scene where we discovered that it was a suicide bomb attack on a police patrol vehicle. I saw five bodies of policemen scattered all over the place.”

When our correspondent visited the scene of the attack on Tuesday, a burnt Volkswagen car believed to be used by the suicide bombers was seen with the bombers’ corpses.

Survivors and eyewitnesses in the Benue attacks told SaharaReporters that the invaders launched the attack on the community around 5am, with the sound of gunfire coming from their blazing guns waking many.

“Some of us even don’t know how we escaped (with our lives) because nobody here knew where the shots were coming from. We were just running in all directions (to get away,”) one source had said.

At the Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi, about 12 bodies were brought in by the police some hours after the attacks. Sources said some of the bodies were discovered with fresh bullet wounds, and assembled at the village.

The Benue State Police Command spokesperson, Daniel Ezeala, confirmed the early morning attack on the village, but insisted that the police saw only seven bodies.

The village remains tense, and for good reason. For over two weeks, hardly a day has passed without an attack on the natives in Benue by suspected herdsmen and their militia.

Meanwhile, the police in Kaduna State on Tuesday foiled a plot to bomb the state capital by detonating a suspected substance believed to be a high calibre Improvised Explosive Device wrapped in a polythene bag and dropped by an okada rider (commercial cyclist) at the ever busy Sultan/Sir. Kashim Road in the metropolis.

The incident occurred just as the state government through its Commissioner for Information and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Ben Bako, on Tuesday called on residents to be vigilant and report suspicious movement to the security agents in the state.

President Jonathan Never Confrimed Withholding Of $10 Billion From Federation Account-Abati

Presidential Spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati, says reports in some domestic media which quoted President Goodluck Jonathan as “confirming” in Amsterdam that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) wrongly withheld $10 Billion from the federation account are completely false and a total distortion of the President’s comments during his meeting with the Nigerian Community in the Netherlands.

According to a press release dated March 26, Abati stresses that President Jonathan did not, at any point in time during the meeting with the Nigerian Community, confirm any ”irregularities” in the NNPC.
The statement dismisses contrary media reports on the issue as ”sensational” and, consequently, declares them reckless, mischievous and unprofessional misrepresentations of the President’s restatement to the Nigerian Community of the Federal Government’s position on the allegation that $20 Billion is “missing” from the NNPC or the Federation Account. This, Abati points out, is buttressed by the fact that those who filed such reports were not at the event or even in Holland at all.
The statement credits President Jonathan telling the Nigerian Community that the allegation of missing funds in the NNPC lacked consistency and credence due to the conflicting sums -$49.8 billion, $12 billion or $20 billion-that were said to be missing.
The statement quotes President Jonathan saying exactly as follows: “As at the time, the Finance Ministry was saying they had not been able to reconcile only 10 billion dollars. There are issues in NNPC but we are on it.”
President Jonathan reportedly went on to reassure Nigerians of his administration’s continued commitment to openness, transparency and probity in the aftermath of the unsubstantiated allegations, the Federal Government had authorised a professional forensic audit of NNPC accounts to clear the air.
Apparently miffed by the ”mischievous and unethical distortion” of the President’s comments at the meeting in Amsterdam, the Presidency once again, urges the media to show greater regard for truth and accuracy when reporting on the President.

Lagos issues final masts warning

Lagos - Lagos, which ruled out the extension of a deadline, has issued a final warning to owners of hollow telecoms masts to pull them down before April 30.

The state’s Urban Regulatory Unit (UFRU) said the extension of the deadline on two occasions now was due to passionate appeals for more time by stakeholders.

The initial deadline was fixed for December last year but was later extended to March 2014 following outcry by banks whose operations were severely affected by the forced pulling down of the mast by UFRU officials.

In its latest warning, UFRU said it would not accept any appeal from hollow mast owners once the current deadline expires.

Head of UFRU, Joe Igbokwe, said that it is unfortunate that most owners of hollow masts in the state are not taking concrete steps to decommission despite series of warnings issued by his agency.

Igbokwe said that since the warning was issued last year, only banks like Guaranty Trust Bank, Zenith Bank, and WEMA Bank had shown serious commitment to comply with the directive.

He expressed concerns that except the three banks mentioned, other banks, insurance firms, state and federal agencies, ICT companies, oil companies, hotels and other users have ignored the ultimatum to replace their hollow masts.

Igbokwe said that such attitude would no longer be tolerated as his agency was committed to ensuring that Lagos residents did not suffer the hazards of collapsed masts as recorded in the past.

“UFRU has been magnanimous on this issue so far because we do not want to cause disruption to the services of this companies, agencies and organizations. As the rainy season approaches, we are giving them till April 30 after which we will commence full decommissioning,” he said.

The UFRU executive listed the mandatory specifications for new masts towers to include 30cm-50cm height, 40m/s basic wind speed and 4m antenna loading.

He also said that the towers must be three legged, hot deep galvanized and made up of angular steel profiles with a span leg of between 2m-4m depending on the space of the site.

2face’s label to release three albums in 2014

2face revealed that the record label will release his album, and the album of two other artists signed to the label.

Two killed in Plateau communal clash

Plateau - Two persons were on Tuesday confirmed dead and several wounded in a communal clash at a border between Pankshin and Kanke Local Government Areas of Plateau.

The Chairman of Pankshin Local Government, Samuel Goar, confirmed the incident in Pankshin.

He said the clash was between Ngas and Pai people in Shiwer community of Pankshin Local Government and Dokpai community in Kanke council.

The chairman said that mostly affected areas in the crisis include Piri, Tigiya and Irnet villages within the Shiwer and Dokpai districts.

He said that it took the intervention of the security operatives and management of the two councils to stop the clash.

The chairman said the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday and left over 50 houses burnt with many people displaced.

Goar said that the area in dispute was a piece of land covering three villages.

He said the clash was unfortunate and a sad one, noting that the communities had been living together for a very long time without any problem until now.

"We are not happy about the incident which left in its trail two dead bodies and several others injured with houses and other property destroyed.

"All we are trying to do now is to see how we can cater for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from the affected two warring communities," he said.

The chairman thanked the security agents from the two councils for their swift intervention, especially the Special Task Force (STF) and the police, which controlled the crisis.

He also thanked the elders from the two communities for their cooperation and for listening to the government and security operatives on the matter.

Goar said he would liaise with his counterpart in Kanke to ensure that relief materials were provided to the displaced persons and cater for the injured in Pankshin General Hospital.

Contacted, spokesman of the Military Special Tasks Force (STF), Captain Salisu Mustapha, also confirmed the crisis, saying that soldiers restored normalcy to the communities.

He, however, said that no arrest had been made, while investigation into the causes of the incident had begun.

Barely four days after the discovery of mysterious forest where over 19 human skulls were found in Ibadan, another horror was discovered in the ancient city, yesterday. A man, who feigned lunacy, was allegedly caught with human tongue, gun and cutlass around the popular Ring Road area of the city. According to reports, residents of Ibadan rushed to catch a glimpse of the suspected human eater. The suspect was, however, whisked away by armed policemen to avert jungle justice. Also, another man was mobbed by angry crowd after a price list of human parts was allegedly found on him. This came as a man, who was about being dispossessed of the large sum of money he withdrew from a commercial bank at Mokola area of the city jumped down from a flyover with his money. Vanguard gathered that the suspect caught with human tongues was arrested at Oni and Son Memorial Hospital area of Ring Road. A source said that over 400 posters of a politician contesting the 2015 governorship election, women underwear and some weapons were found on him. The source said he was rounded up by the policemen from Oluyole Police Station. Another man, who reportedly disguised as a destitute, was caught at Adeoyo State Hospital with a price list of human parts. After they were beaten by the mob, policemen took the three men to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID. Exposure According to information, the 'mad' man was exposed when his hidden blackberry phone rang. This was said to have aroused suspicion of passers-by who had all the while known the man as a destitute. Further search on him, Vanguard gathered, revealed that he listed those owing him outstanding balance and the human parts they bought. That was when the mob descended on him. When Vanguard got there, the police refused to comment saying the newsman should go to the police headquarters at Eleyele, Ibadan for reaction. The man that jumped to escape being robbed of his money by two men on commercial motorcycle, it was further gathered, was rescued by policemen who were on duty under the flyover and taken to the hospital in an ambulance, as he sustained injuring in his arms. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Olabisi Ilobanafor, confirmed the arrest of a man who was beaten by the mob but said he did not know anything about the Adeoyo State Hospital incident. She said: "I can't say whether he is a ritualist or destitute. I don't know whether things found on him were human tongues or not. "It is only a forensic expert who can say precisely what they are. We use this opportunity to warn members of the public not to take laws into their hands by resorting to jungle justice whenever they see a suspect. "We also want to advise parents not to allow their wards to mix up with mob to break any law."

She had maintained a deafening silence for long until Saturday, March 15, 2014, when she spoke with ENCOMIUM Weekly from her base in Canada.
“I have no explanation to anybody. Life is full of ups and downs. I have accepted my fate.”
How are the children doing now? We probed her further.
“The children are doing fine. I thank God for them.”
How have you been able to cope with the children’s welfare?
“Like I said, I thank God. I am coping well.”
But when Lovely was asked if her former husband (Odianosen Okojie) has been assisting in the children’s upkeep, she got furious, insisting the man in question is in her history.
“What do you mean? That is my past. Don’t ask me questions about my past. I don’t want to relate with my past. In fact, I don’t know what you are talking about,” and the phone went off.
A source close to her revealed to ENCOMIUM Weekly that she (Lovely) is still very much bitter about what happened to her marriage to Prince Okojie.
“She is still bitter. She felt betrayed. She is not thinking of another marriage now, she is yet to recover from the past experience.”
Lovely came to public consciousness when she raised the alarm in 2011 that the man actress Mercy Johnson was planning to marry was actually her legal husband. At this time, preparations towards the wedding was going on with the super star actress shopping for her wedding in Europe. And when everything seemed to be going smoothly, Lovely dropped the bombshell with pictures of her marriage to Okojie to back up her claim.
There was a slight setback and when many had thought the setback would truncate the marriage plans, the lovebirds, Odia Okojie and Mercy Johnson presented a united front. They were married at the Christ Embassy Church, Oregun, Lagos on Saturday, August 27, 2011, amidst tight security. The couple have been blessed with a child (Purity) while they are expecting another one, according to reports in some section of the media.

Nigerian superstar, Wizkid has finally confirmed the report making rounds that he has broken up with his beautiful girlfriend, Tania Omotayo.

Wizkid who has a son with another lady, Sola made this confirmation during a radio interview on the Drive Time show on Beat FM saying:

Lagos – Fuji musician Obesere has decided to shoot a film around the rape scandal presently rocking his career, according to reports reaching Realnaijagists.

The script for the film was written by Obesere and auditions for the cast has already commenced.

Nigerian Celebrity gets Detained for Alleged Rape (PHOTO)

Popular Yoruba actor, Ganiyu Oyeyemi popularly known as Ogunjimi in Nollywood has been arrested by the Osun State Police Command for allegedly raping one of his daughter’s friends at Osogbo, his home town.
The Yoruba actor, known for violent roles in Yoruba films was arrested last Tuesday by the Police and detained at the Oke-Baale division of the Nigeria Police, after the victim had reported him. According to a competent Police source, the actor had been transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) of the state police command for further interrogation on the matter.

After medical experts examined the victim on the directives of the police, their report proved that Ogunjimi
forcibly had carnal knowledge of the 22 year old girl (name withheld).

Sources said the victim and her mother who was allegedly victimized out of her matrimonial home were living with Ogunjimi at his Osogbo residence and he was responsible for their upkeep until recently the victim’s mother left her with Ogunjimi in Osogbo and relocated to Lagos.

It was gathered that after the rape, the victim reported the incident to the police alongside some residents of the area.

A senior police officer at the Oke Bale Police Division where Ogunjimi was taken after his arrest confided in Sunday Sun that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) transferred the case to the SCID due to pressure mounted on him by influential people to release the suspect.

Osun Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Folashade Odoro who confirmed that the case had been reported to the police, also confirmed that the popular Yoruba actor was being detained at the SCID, Osogbo.

More revelations by the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts indicated on Thursday that the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation could not account for N35bn it collected from the Service Wide Vote within nine years.
While the records of the Budget Office of the Federation showed that the OHSF received N52bn between 2004 and 2012, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Remi Adelakun, admitted only N17.6bn.
The committee, which is chaired by Mr. Solomon Olamilekan, insisted on Thursday that Adelakun must explain how the N35bn was spent. At Thursday’s session, the permanent secretary and officials of the budget office had disagreed over how much the latter released to the OHSF.
The records of the budget office showed that in 2004, the OHSF received N2.7bn; N9.8m in 2005; N701.7m in 2006; N896.3m in 2007; N5.3bn in 2008 and another N612.9m; and N70m in 2009.
For 2010, the figure was N17.6bn; in 2011, it was N13.6bn and N8.5bn in 2012. However, the OHSF admitted the N17.6bn released in 2010.
Olamilekan ruled that the permanent secretary must produce documents on how the balance of over N35bn was utilized within two weeks.
In a separate case, the committee directed the Central Bank of Nigeria to refund the N1.015bn it spent in 2007 to print 65 million ballot papers for that year’s presidential election.
The committee stated that there were “double payments” for the ballot papers, which it said the bank could not explain adequately.
Although the Director, Corporate Services, CBN, Mr. Dipo Fatokun, who represented the bank, denied the alleged double payments, the committee insisted that the bank made contradictory submissions.
Fatokun said, “There was no double payment. When we first appeared before the committee, we did not check our records very well and that was why we thought there were double payments.”

Abuja - The “koko master” Dbanj has been made the Ambassador for the Nagropreneurs Initiative, conceived by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Akinwunmi Adesina.

Dbanj’s ambassadorship was announced during the launch of the Nigerian Agricultural Entrepreneurs, Nagroprenuers, initiative that is designed to attract youths to agriculture.

TUFACE AND ANNIE-THE BEST LOVE STORY EVER TOLD

This is probably the best love story ever, after all the ups and downs, the break- ups, cheating and all, they still ended up as ONE! How They Met...............

Annie first met 2face Idibia at Even Ezra Music Studio when she was just fifteen and in her words, “I think there was some electricity that second”.

They were friends first but had started dating officially by the time they shot the “African Queen” video in 2004. That was when 2Face announced that they were together during an interview.

I remember my 16th birthday at Alpha Beach, with me and my friends. When we were going home, we all walked to the bus stop with him and his cousin. Plantashun Boiz had just recorded “Knock Me Off” at the time so he wasn’t a star yet.

So we got into the bus, he sat in front with his cousin so when we wanted to pay the conductor, he said, “no, he done pay already” I was feeling like a babe. “Hey! My boyfriend paid everybody’s bus fare.” And that time, bus was like N2.50k or N3 per person for about 14 people. But he told me recently that he didn’t eat that night because he paid for everyone.”

Soon Annie’s entertainment career became a lot more difficult as a result of being known as ’2Face’s girl’ and then they had their first breakup, came back, broke up again…

She was hurt when word got out that, in quick succession, 2Face had gotten two different women pregnant – Pero Adeniyi and Sumbo Ajala. At that point, the couple broke up.

When Pero and Sumbo yet again got pregnant for 2Face once again, that was when 2Face and Annie had their longest break-up which lasted almost a year and a half. But as they say, love will always find a way, they made up again and Annie gave birth to 2Face’s fifth child Isabel and then in 2012, Pero gave birth to his sixth child in the US. Well, Pero couldn’t prevent them from being together…smiles!

In 2012, 2Face proposed to Annie on Valentine’s Day at Jay Jay Okocha’s Club 10 in Victoria Island, Lagos. And, they weren’t even dating then, although were still on talking terms after he had called her out of the blue a few weeks before, visited her at home and asked for her forgiveness and friendship.

According TO eye-witness reports, 2Face took Annie to a quiet section of the club, he knelt down and told her “I KNOW WE have had OUR ups and downs but it will be MY heart’s desire for YOU to marry ME” and then presented the dazzling ring and Annie began screaming “YES, YES, YES” after crying her eyes out!

Shortly after 2Face‘s concert when he brought out then-fiancee, Annie during his performance of“African Queen”, the two secretly legalized their union in a Lagos registry on Tuesday, May 1 2012.

Singer Iyanya Signs Muti-million Naira Deal With Chinese Multinational Company Lenovo

DUDE TETSOLA SAYS HIS WEDDING WAS A FAKE.

Weeks following what many believe was his surprise wedding, singer Dude Tetsola is claiming he’s not married.

The singer says he represented his brother who couldn’t attend the wedding because he ‘couldn’t get his VISA’.

‘I stood in for my elder brother. He couldn’t get his visa. They saw the pictures and people started saying I got married. Please, it is not me. I am not yet married’, he told Punch Newspaper.

Tetsola was the groom at a wedding at the Federal Marriage registry Ikoyi lagos on November 30, 2013. He reportedly travelled to Benin City for a traditional marriage on December 7, 2013 .

‘My girlfriend left me. She still doesn’t believe the story that I am not married even after my mother called her to explain to her. I have even talked to her elder brother who said I should let her be’, he explained.

He also wrote on Twitter on January 19, 2014; ‘Now I know what true love really means; never you take your lover for granted because you might never have a second Chance‘.

Tetsola also said he doesn’t understand why nobody called him to verify the wedding story before writing about it.

‘I don’t know why people would not verify a story before they write about it. If I want to marry, I will invite people and let them know about it. It will not be a hidden thing’.

Dude Tetsola has released a new single ‘60 Days’ which he says is an apology to his girlfriend.

The DB Records artist and his Liberian girlfriend, Meenakshi Monica Subramani are expecting a baby.
The former miss Liberia 2011, who celebrated her one year anniversary with the music star recently is said to be about five/six months pregnant.

Nollywood actress, Chika Ike seem to have started the year on a good note from receiving a Chieftancy title in Enugu, to her extravagant trip to Dubai to been awarded most disciplined Nollywood actress.
Chika in a recent interview talks about her about her extravagant trip to Dubai, marriage to her ex-husband and male admirers.

Chika Ike who got married to her ex husband Tony Eberiri in 2006 finalized her divorce in 2013.

On what motivated her trip to Dubai: ”Usually, every year, I take a vacation, because I feel I have worked so hard all through , I deserve a break. As they say, all work and no play makes “Chika a dull girl”. I just had to take a time out and whenever I do, I make sure I rest very well. I don’t know why it has been all over the whole nation, but I had fun.”

On if she finds it extravagant: ”Whose money? Is it not the money I worked hard for? Did anybody give me? I have worked hard and I deserved every bit of the luxury I enjoyed over there and I can proudly say that. I will do it over and over again because I deserve it.”

On what its costs for her to dress well: “I can’t really say what it costs me to dress daily. I just like good clothes. Quality handbags, good shoes, and acces- sories. I like looking good generally. I like everything, jewelry and handbags.”

On handling male admirers: “Everybody wants to date me, marry me, be my best friend, etc but I just have to draw a line and respect myself. What kind of man would you like to settle down with? The key is happiness. I don’t want to say a God fearing, kind, lovely, tall man etc. Those are clichés. I just need someone who will understand me and make me happy.”

On lessons from her previous marriage: “I have learnt to be patient and that there’s a limit to everything. I have also learnt that I deserve the best and no one should make me feel better than who I am. I’ve also learnt to forgive and let go.”

On if she will reconcile with her ex: “No, I won’t. He’s in the past and I don’t want to go back to him. I have forgiven him and let go. I don’t want to talk about my past.”

ANGELA OKORIE, NOT DEAD!

The up-and-coming actress, Angela Okorie, has passionately debunked death rumours trailing her.

The promising actress based in Rivers State, Ijeoma Okori was reported to have died during childbirth on February 2, 2014, Sunday. Some of the online media mistook the mentioned late actress to be Angela.

The falsely reported death story grew into misunderstanding, which kept some of Angela’s fans very worried.

In her reaction, the actress, berated those spreading the false death rumours about her and threatened to deal with them.

“Don't mind the haters, it is their handwork, I'll deal with them very soon, I am not dead, in fact as I am speaking to you now.

“I am in Enugu, shooting a movie, that's the work of hateful bitches and I would soon deal with them!” she said.
